Eligibility Criteria for Internship

  • Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students
  • Must be self-motivated
  • Must posses strong writing, research, and interpersonal skills.
  • Should have a strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and an interest in public service.
  • Students of political science, international relations, environmental studies, and communications are all desirable but not required.
  • Ties to Massachusetts are strongly preferred.
  • Internship opportunities are available on a full-time or part-time basis. School credit is possible if arranged and approved by the intern’s respective college or university.

  • Managing intake of constituent correspondence and casework.
  • Contacting federal agencies on behalf of constituents and relaying responses.
  • Assisting staff with administrative tasks and office operation.
  • Answering phone calls and assisting office visitors.
