Surfrider Foundation Internship - Eligibility, Salary, Careers

About Surfrider Foundation

The Surfrider Foundation is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves, and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network. This foundation is working on more than 100 campaigns across the country.  Every movement has a defined beginning, middle, and end, and had over 700 campaigns become victories since 2006. 

More than 50 people support the foundation in their campaigns, policy and fight legal battles for their coasts, bring awareness to the issues facing the ocean, provide critical support for areas like accounting, technology, and HR, and raise money to make all of our this happen.

 

Eligibility Criteria 

  • Applicants should be environment enthusiasts.
  • Should be pursuing a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate program from a recognized university.
  • At least have a 3.0 GPA.
  • Have a legal right to work in the United States.
  • Must be available to work for the entire duration of the internship program.
  • Trained in public relations.

Surfrider Intern Salary

Company offers unpaid internships to students, since it is a foundation. Although there is no salary, interns get lots of exposure and real world knowledge.

Surfrider Foundation Internship Roles/Positions

Interns are required to work a minimum of twelve weeks and must attend an informal meeting with the fund’s donors during their internship. This internship is for emerging leaders in the environmental field to train with the leading grassroots, an environmental non-profit focused on the protection of the world’s oceans, waves, and beaches.

This internship provides funding for the Surfrider Foundation to hire and train the best and brightest interns each year.
